When I was growing up on the ranch, my mother, Opal Jenner, always had a bottle of Chenin Blanc on her Thanksgiving table. I remember sneaking a taste of that dry, crisp, clean, fragrant white wine with hints of lemon and pear. Back then, Lodi farmers grew twice as much Chenin Blanc as any other white grape. As the market changed in the 1980s, Chenin Blanc vineyards all but disappeared. This year, we were lucky to get premium grapes from an amazing vineyard near the Mokelumne River. This wine takes me back to Opal's table and reminds me of the days when we drank real wine.
Tasting Notes:
A Chenin on the riper side of the spectrum with pear and peach and a touch of lemon verbena. It's crisp and refreshing but with a complex and textured mid pallet and a soft citrus finish. It's less acidic than a typical Albariño or a Sauvignon blanc, but more lively than an unoaked Chardonnay. A versatile wine that will pair well with a wide range of lighter (non-tomato, non-beef) foods and appetizers like salads, poultry, fish, and vegetables.

Sheldon is afraid of car rides and anything that looks like a vacuum cleaner. But whenever there's red wine on the table, he's big and bold with his feet up on the chair (or maybe it could be the food). This is a classic bold jammy Lodi Zinfandel with some Petite sirah for color and fruit enhancement and a couple of Spanish red varietals blended in for a rich complex flavor.
This value-priced selection is a great entry level wine for those who are new to Lodi Zinfandel or those who want a big wine without big spending.

Though Basques have lived in California for four hundred years, most started migrating here in the 1800s. For young men from the Pyrenees Mountains, shepherding in central California was a way to parlay a few years of hard work into a better life. My grandfather emigrated to Stockton from Navarre in the early 1900s to work in his cousin's boarding house, where he helped provide a home away from home--and plenty of wine--for his Basque brothers when they came in from the pastures. This wine honors Stockton's ostatuak and is worthy of any bota bag.

Our deep sandy loam soil makes Lodi the perfect place to grow world-class old vine Zinfandel. Over decades, our vines can send their roots as deep as six feet, creating large, complex, gnarly wood structures that store tons of carbs over the winter. In the spring and early summer, these vines push all that sugar and flavor out to the berries, which we hand-select for our small batch single-vineyard wines. This special blend showcases two unique vintages of our old vine Zinfandel that were aged in both American and French oak.
Tasting Notes:
A full range of Zinfandel and subtle oak aromas, a silky smooth mid-palate, and an unusually long finish of raisin and dried fig. This wine is quickly becoming our customers' favorite

This is our proprietor's favorite of all the wines we produce. An early harvest, unique field blend, and extra time in the barrels created a "fruit explosion." Aromas of fresh blackberries, black currants, and warm baking spices with a smooth mid-pallate and a light dried fruit finish.

Harold Jenner was the quintessential mid-century Lodi man. A World War II veteran who fished in the Delta, camped in the Sierras, hunted in his vineyards, farmed on the weekends, and managed winery operations during the week, he loved every minute of living in Lodi.
For this special reserve wine that honors a life well lived, we chose grapes from the vineyard surrounding Harold's home, made the wine on his hundredth birthday, and aged it in new French oak barrels from the country he helped liberate in 1944.
Tasting Notes:
This is our most popular wine. Maturing it in French oak makes it a great transition to Zinfandel for Cabernet fans. Aromas of black cherry and black currant with notes of cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, and cedar,
